Enjoy the Canarian and Agadir Carnival with Pullmantur
In North-West Africa you will find the Canary Islands and the Moroccan city of Agadir, the two destinations for Pullmantur's Carnival cruise in the Canaries and Agadir. For eight days and seven nights on board this Pullmantur cruise you will arrive at the islands of Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Palma and Lanzarote. Between these last two, one day after leaving La Palma, this Pullmantur ship will dock at Agadir.
Pullmantur's Carnival cruise in the Canary Islands and Agadir begins and ends in Gran Canaria. In addition to taking you to discover a large number of monuments and landscapes, it will allow you to enjoy the important Carnivals of the Canary Islands which are spread over the municipalities of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Los Llanos de Aridane (La Palma), The Village of San Nicolas (Gran Canaria), Arrecife, Teguise (Lanzarote) and Santa Cruz de la Palma, among others. Along the way you will be able to learn about the festive ritual of the Teguise Diabletes, in which a group of little devils are dedicated to frightening children and young people, or the murgas of Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife, where groups of people sing chants of social and political criticism.
The Colón House of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the National Park of the Cañadas del Teide de Tenerife, the Castle of Santa Catalina de Santa Cruz de la Palma and the gardens of Olhao in Agadir are just some of the places of interest that you will visit with Pullmantur's Carnival cruise in the Canary Islands and Agadir.
The Carnival, a star attraction of trips to Gran Canaria and Tenerife
The island of Gran Canaria is the most populated of the archipelago and home to one of the two co-capitals of the region, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The Barrio de Triana, the entire Plaza de Santa Ana and Puerto de la Luz are the three main attractions of the city. In addition to having fun with the batucadas or the Drag Queen Gala of the Carnivals of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with this Pullmantur cruise you also can tour the Natural Park of Tamadaba.
A few places you must visit are the beach of Arguineguín, Patalavaca and Puerto Rico. A day after Gran Canaria you will find yourself in Tenerife. One of the main attractions here is to walk through the afore mentioned National Park of the Cañadas del Teide. This houses the highest mountain in Spain which in turn houses the Teide volcano. Another natural attraction is the Botanical Garden of La Orotava, founded by King Carlos III.
With respect to the other co-capital of the Canary Islands, of all that is to be seen in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the most striking attractions are, among others, the Plaza de España, the Palau de la Carte and the Guimera Theater. And, of course, when visiting Tenerife with Pullmantur's Carnival cruise in the Canary Islands and Agadir, you cannot miss the opportunity to photograph everything related to, among other carnival events, the Carnival Queen's Grand Gala of Choice, as well as the monuments of San Cristóbal de La Laguna which have been a World Heritage Site since 1999.

Agadir, the African destination of this Pullmantur cruise
On La Palma, an island where you will spend two days, you will enjoy numerous nature activities as the whole area has been declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Of all the landscapes of La Palma, the most important tourist attractions are the Caldera de Taburiente National Park, the Natural Park of the Cumbre Vieja and the Teneguía, and the Natural Park of Las Nieves. As for monuments, the most important are in Santa Cruz de la Palma, the capital, and Los Llanos de Aridane. From Santa Cruz de la Palma, stand out features are the manor house of the Plaza de España and, in Los Llanos de Aridane, the baroque altarpiece of the Remedios Church.
As well as all this, different activities of tourist interest related to the carnival take place in both cities. These include the costume party of Las Viejas a Caballotas de Los Llanos de Aridane, and Los Indianos de Santa Cruz de la Palma, an act which characterizes Canaries who emigrated to America. Although the Canary Islands are part of the African continent, when on La Palma you will feel as if you are in Europe. However, when this Pullmantur cruise takes you to Agadir, the next stop of the trip, you will feel as though you are in Africa. This Moroccan municipality has striking monuments, such as the Royal Palace and the ancient Kasbah. And in the vicinity of Agadir you will find the Souss-Massa National Park, home to endangered bird the ibis hermit.
Finally, Pullmantur's Carnival cruise in the Canary Islands and Agadir will take you to Lanzarote. There you can visit some of the most outstanding landscapes of Spain, such as the Timanfaya National Park, the Green Caves - the largest underwater cave on the planet - and the Jameos del Agua. Regarding the carnivals of the island of Lanzarote, in addition to the afore mentioned festive ritual of the Teguise diablos, the Carnival of Arrecife, the capital, is of great cultural interest. By tradition it is considered the oldest of the Canary Islands and its main aspects are the gala of the election of the Queen of Carnival and La Parranda Los Buches.
